Internet Connection ...

Post by MCHK2015 » Thu May 28, 2015 9:24 am

Dear Moderator,

I found the Linux Desktop and Terminal provided by linuxzoo.net very convenient to practice. However there is a basic question about internet connection. Is it strictly prohibited to get connected to the internet ? As there is no ping service to outside (what I can ping is just internet network such as localhost, linuxzoo.net, etc.) or Firefox browser service available which I feel frustrated. I can't even practice using "yum" to install any software at all.

Would you confirm what I should do to get connected to the internet?

Thanks very much for help.

Almost no connection at all.
I used to have a more generous policy, but then people launched attached against websites from their virtual machines.
I cannot have that, and there is only me running the service, so far easier to remove the access.
Sorry
Gordon.

Oh I see, and thanks very much for your reply.

Hope the policy will get less stringent some day, he he! :)
