From September 2008 onwards, the format of the exam is 20 short answer questions. The contents are generally similar to the previous few years, except that MySQL is dropped, DNS is reintroduced, and overall more detail and depth has been added to the questions. Note that CSN09101 is the undergraduate level 3 module, while CSN11101 is an advanced postgraduate module, so make sure you choose the right one!
From Sep 2005 to August 2008, the format of the exam is 20 short answer questions. The contents are pretty much consistent, although the "mac" and "mysql" questions were sometimes dropped depending on the year.
Prior to Sep 2005, two different exam formats existed. Either the student sat a 3 question from 5 essay style exam, or they sat a 20 short answer question paper.
